A little dated, walls are thin, but clean rooms. Not bad for the price.

Love the pool

The room was clean the bed was comfy the breakfast wasn't wonderful but was decent. The few things I saw that needed repaired I made the front seat aware of. The pool was amazing I love that it's not your typical tiny hotel pool. Lots of things to see around the area.

For the price, it was excellent and it worked out. Great for me and my grandkids. They are doing maintenance on the building but it was really nice. It's not a five star hotel but it's decent clean kid safe.

Do Not Stay Here

I don’t like to give bad reviews because I know this is someone’s livelihood but this hotel was misrepresented on this app. This is a Howard Johnson and Baymont in 1, they aren’t separate. Once I arrived I thought it was a mistake. From the outside this place looks creepy and abandoned. However I had already reserved and paid for the room and I didn’t have enough money to go get a room somewhere else because I still had another day of travel ahead of me. I went inside to check in and the entrance was super nice and appeared to be remodeled, so I thought that maybe the rooms were remodeled and in the same condition but I was sadly mistaken. My first room had a refrigerator that the bottom was broken and it was leaking water. They had towels wrapped around the bottom of it to catch the water and try to make it level. When I opened the door, there was a wet rag on the inside to catch the water too. The room smelled mildewy. I complained and asked for a different room. I was given one that was better but still not in good condition. The walls were paper thin and they had many guests who had pets. Dogs could be heard barking and whining all night long. At 7:30am I could hear someone puking their guts out. I could go on and on but to be honest, after booking this room I’m not even secure in booking my room on hotels.com anymore.

8/10 Very good

Breakfast was a little short, just cereal, toast and a waffle machine. No meat, eggs, biscuits and gravy.

There is another building in back and some remodeling going on, but we were in the part around a large indoor courtyard with pool, pool tables, and games. There is also a meeting room. This would be great for small business conference or a family traveling with kids, but this part of the motel might not be so great for people wanting quiet. It was quiet when we were there, though.

The staff at the property were very kind. The rooms could have been cleaned better. The pool is huge but a little cold. Basic breakfast. Our TV cable did not work. The price made the stay worth it. I would stay again as the price is what makes me rate this hotel higher.

Looked old and run down. Pool was cold and film on the water. No tea available for breakfast otherwise breakfast was good.

Nothing

Front desk was very kind and responsive. This hotel is huge. The basic breakfast was good. I was thrilled the carpet in the rooms had been replaced with a wood vinyl. The hotel has been updating, but it's easy to spot lots of places where they cut corners. Our first room had hair in the shower, outlets that didn't work, the plastic baseboard was coming off the wall, and hundreds of tiny ants everywhere. Paint smudges all over, old switch covers put back on that are yellow and cracked. I called the front desk and she immediately got us switched across the hall to a room that was nicer. Unfortunately it was on the front side towards the gas station so we heard loud trucks most of the night. Overall it was ok and we will stay here again for a cheap 1 night stay.

The heater made a loud noise so loud we could not leave it run during the night. We did ask for a extra blanket but it smelled so bad it had not gotten dried thoroughly before folding so that gotten by our feet. We did tell the clerk who was about 10 or 12 but he failed to tell his mother. We mentioned it to her in the morning she had not gotten the message. Other things needed to be fixed on the property. I would not stay thete again. By the way the temp was 39 in the morning so heat would have been nice

I would not recommend staying here.

First off I chose this hotel because was pet friendly and it had better reviews then the Baymont. (It is the same hotel.) I have never felt unwelcome at a hotel, but I did here. We chose this hotel because it said it was pet friendly. It may allow dogs, but is not pet friendly. It started when we went to take our dogs to the bathroom. The manager stopped us and said we were not in a pet friendly room. We informed him that we checked the dogs in when we checked in. He went and verified that. Then he came and complained that our dogs were barking. It was 7 and I saw no other people staying at the hotel. The blankets were torn and stained. There was trash under my be from the last person who stayed there. When we went to take a shower, there was no water. It took a couple hours to get water. There was no remote in the room. When we asked for one they brought us a dirty remote, and insisted it be returned to the desk when we leave. They acted like we were going to steal it. The breakfast was minimal, and I found mold on the white bread. The person who check us is was nice. The guy who was putting breakfast out was nice, but this hotel was probably the worst that I have stayed in.

Staff was great.

6/10 Good

The hotel was hard to find due to unmarked buildings, the only identity was a small sign to the side seen after you drive around like bldg. The upkeep was poor with many rooms obviously in disrepair. We asked to see room first which was clean, no bugs seen, smelled good. The mattresses were not good. Staff was friendly. Phone in room not connected. Breakfast hot, coffee very good. At first anxious re safety but had no problems.
Joanna, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

The room was dusty. Edges along walls, were dirty. Light fixtures and shades were dusty. While the hotel updated some aspects of the room ex: new bathroom mirror but the socket/light switch plate was broken and unpleasant to look at. TV sound was broken and most channels were fuzzy.

Club Pool!

Room was clean; property being renovated though clean as possible. Pool was fascinating, was originally a Holidome facility; clean and comfortable

Its a fine place. A bit outdated and worn but it met our needs and was clean.
Cat, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

This hotel was built in 1966 and it is "tired", However they are remodeling. The staff is very friendly and accommodating when asked for something. No outside swimming pool and the inside one was cold, but it does get a lot of use. It was easy to get to the attractions we were interested in seeing. And the biscuits and gravy were the best I ever had. I would book here again if I return.
