Helpful staff

10/10 Exceptional

Great stay in a lovely room with warm welcome.

We were welcomed warmly to the hotel. Our room was huge and looked directly onto the beach. There was a choice of bath and shower or level access shower. All the staff we met were friendly and the reception area has been refurbished since our last stay with a new breakfast room and bar. The room was clean with good heavy curtains.

10/10 Exceptional

Reception staff were on point and the room was mostly clean and spacious. Thebroom wasn't what I chose in my booking but it was spacious and well situated to afford some peace and quiet. Some attention is needed to clean the shower from mould is recommended but didn't affect us

Stunning location, beautiful beach.
Elena, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Enjoyed the stay, staff were excellent
Stephen, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

The lifts were broken rokms dirty and smelt baf, broken tap with screw to turn, broken wardrobe offered another room that had leak and v wet carpet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Was refused a refund to go somewhere else. Sticky dirty carpet in room. Missing buttons in lifts meaning you had to put your finger in a hole with electrics. If you were on level 2 none of the buttons worked so the only way to use was call reception for them to press the button on ground level to send lift up or down. Absolute joke
Alison, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Comfortable functional room, friendly, helpful staff, parking can be a bit difficult, especially as there was an event on the Western Lawns all weekend, but with perseverance parking can be found and is very cheap, £2.35 for 24 hours when purchased at the hotel. Overall, a relaxing stay.

This is an old hotel. However the staff’s attention to detail and care was amazing. Nancy who serves breakfast was a ray of sunshine and just a delight. My daughter and friends all enjoyed staying here and we will be back again. Thank you so much for looking after us with the care that you did.
Anna, 6-night trip

6/10 Good

Quaint hotel on the waterfront. I did recieve an upgrade due to my Best Western membership. The hotel needs additional staff. The front desk person was overwhelmed. The WiFi is horrible. The elevator buttons are missing so you have to stick your finger in to activate. Overall this place needs work.
Angela, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Roomkeeping was not good. It was only cleaned after it was pointed out and then only superficially. The breakfast was clear. The hotel has seen better days.

It was an amazing experience. The kids and us love the room so much.It was spacious and clean.
Hannah Isabelle, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Lovely staff and bed was comfy. Excellent position by the sea and near lovely Little Italy area. Downsides: sheets needed a higher temp wash or to be replaced (stains) and bathroom bin was full from the last guests. Lift broke too, but stairs were fine for us. For the price, we had a comfortable stay.
Emily, 1-night trip

One night stay

Stayed one night, hotels locks front door promptly at 23:00. The room we had was spacious and sea-front facing. It was clean and centrally heated, had sufficient towels and pillows. The interior is dated, but given we stayed only one night it didn't detract. We had to ask for coffee and loo roll, but the staff was friendly and provided without question. We didn't eat at the hotel.

6/10 Good

Definitely.Liked the price for the area and it was reasonably clean. Apart from the hair dryer wire being cut , not in use. The Free Wi-Fi. was very much in an out. Not great if you rely on it.
Claire, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

overpriced

dated in terms of decor, fixtures and fittings, furniture, both inside and outside the room. Dated also applies to what is deemed a reasonable requirement for today's traveller .....Iron, suitcase rack, a pair of bathroom glassware, coffee (beyond the 2 sachets supplied) ....air con?
Chris, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

When we got into our room the electrician was just finishing his work but he had to be called back to tighten up a loose and gaping switch cover.
Robert, 2-night trip

We had no hot water in our room. Property is in need of some updates. You’re better off getting breakfast somewhere else.

4/10 Fair

Unhappy Stay

We arrived at the hotel and had to wait to check in for 10 minutes because no one was around and they had no bell to ring for assistance. The room we stayed in was not clean, especially the toilet which had poo stains down it and the smallest amount of toilet roll, these were rectified when I complained. The bathroom door also didn’t close which was embarrassing for our teenage son who didn’t want his parents to hear him on the toilet. The heating was on all night even though the radiator was on Zero which made it an uncomfortable sleep. For what we payed to stay at this hotel we expected the room to be much cleaner and better presented.

Terrible stay - would not recommend

Hotel is very tired and in desperate need of a make over. Room was cold and noisy. reception tried to make it work and then left without addressing it. Pillows are horrible- unless if you like firm or extra firm pillows. The room, bathroom and overall decor just looks dated. Don’t trust the photos,
