Nice, safe hotel.
The room was clean and the staff friendly. Great security around the hotel.
I was traveling with my tween daughter and her friend. We walked the short distance from the light rail station. The Seattle transit police had a presence there and ensured that hotel guests got to and from the hotel safely.
The place itself is very safe and secure. The staff friendly, room clean and great breakfast.

Okay and handy for downtown events
Historical relevance was significant to Seattle and Gold Rush era. Close and walkable to most downtown amenities and stadiums. Apparently, it was updated in early 2000's with an antique style decor, which in my opinion needs a deep refresh. The restaurant/bar was very good and enjoyed the food.

Happiness is a pleased grandson.
It was everything I had hoped it would be. It was a Grandma/grandson 12 year old trip and he loved everything about the hotel, as did I. The breakfast was amazing, the comfort of the room was perfect, and the staff was always helpful and pleasant. We walked everywhere due to the perfect location for all of the sights.
Best of all, we felt like we were experiencing the "grandeur of the 1916 gold rush."
