Good for a business trip

Nothing bad to say, although I did struggle to find it. Comfortable, clean, small gym, fantastic breakfast, great value.

Stick to organising conferences

They should stick to organising conferences. Stopped off for a good night sleep on my trip from from Edinburgh to Southampton and was woken up by a fire alarm at 0730. When I asked for an explanation a rude man simply pointed out that someone had showered without closing the door and challenged why I didn’t evacuate. When I said I did and nobody else had he simply blanked me. The appropriate response should have been an apology first of all. I suppose customer service is not one of trainings delivered here. Never again!!!

8/10 Very good

Have stayed here before for work, property is convenient with breakfast and evening meal included in the price. Options in the restaurant for evening meal are pretty good, but it is cafeteria style. No irons available for the rooms, but there are areas with irons and boards available. Rooms are generally okay but some areas where it is getting tired or damaged.
Joe, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Breakfast served from 7:00 - 8:30 only. The restaurant closes at 7:30 in the evening. Check out at 10:00. OK if one is there for a demanding training schedule, but not exactly "hotel like" timings...
Arun, 2-night trip

CG28 had obviously been cleaned in the past but the bedroom was dusty, there was a dead spider on the bed. The bathroom was dusty too with orange soap marks and mould at the seal in the shower.

Perfect for solo female travellers

As a solo female traveller, I really like this hotel. It’s basic, but clean and friendly and I feel very safe. As it is a training centre, there are lots of groups of people, but also other solo travellers. I probably wouldn’t use this hotel for a socks trip, but for work it is ideal. Dinner and breakfast are good, it is a buffet style and included in the price. I like this a lot, as generally I will not have dinner alone, but here, it is perfectly acceptable to do so, without standing out. The gym is adequate and never busy. The rooms are basic, but clean and quiet, and you have everything you need.

Great good as always staff great too
Trevor, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Lovely property. I arrived late and left early so didn’t spend much time there but it had everything I needed. Breakfast options were good and the room was quiet. Only slight gripe was that the iron in the laundry room wasn’t brilliant and took a while to iron a skirt.
Sarah, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Stayed here as i was attending a conference at the same site, and the price was great, plus it included my evening meal and breakfast. Last year i stayed at another hotel further away, and meals had to be bought off-site, so this was a much better option for me this time. Really enjoyed my time here and will be back next year.

Rooms on the small side but clean & comfortable. Restaurant had short opening hours for breakfast and dinner, but plenty of choice & good value meals.

Value for money

Basic accommodation in a business centre. Good value for money and safe surroundings. Close to M6.
Nicola, 2-night trip

Was OK

Check in was awful. The reception areas was like a mad house and you couldn’t move for people queuing to get in the restaurant. The receptionist apologised for my wait as she ‘couldn’t get to me through the people’ I couldn’t go for my pre paid dinner because of the amount of time it would have taken which I didn’t have . I was given no information about breakfast times and had to ask about dinner. Room was clean. Hotel was quiet. Breakfast was very busy and not set up appropriately to speed masses through

Ok I Guess

Whilst it was not a bad stay it was a little bit different to what I was expecting. More in the style of a university campus than a hotel. The rooms are in separate buildings blocks to the main reception area. The room was compact, but comfortable. The restaurant was more like a canteen with only a few options served from a counter. The meals themselves were nice. The bar was in separate area so if you want alcohol with your meal, you have get it from the bar and take it to the restaurant. The staff were polite and friendly.

Yarnfield Park

Although it wasn't like a conventional hotel stay, the stay was adequate for my need. The room was spottlessly clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable and the facilities were there too.

Good price if you are staying for training

Good food but its basically just a former BT training camp. Feels very military.
