Room was very noisy it was across from elevator and beside cafe that is beside pool. People waiting on elevator or waiting to get in cafe and people in the pool made for a noisy stay. Also, ice machine is located across the street, not convenient.

Great place to stay near beach. No very fancy but was clean and well maintained. We were there just for one day. It includes parking so that is very convenient. The property is very large so it has 4-5 different buildings so make sure you book the right building because you could be away from the beach.

Nice place, clean rooms and right on the boardwalk. Balcony with view of boardwalk and ocean. Wish the room had a coffee maker (there was a fridge & microwave) but Fractured Prune was a few blocks down and lots of cafes to choose from. No elevator but we got our steps in. Friendly staff and parking spots were nice size and plentiful.

Dissapointed

Stayed for 2 nights over the 4th of Jully weekend before checking into a condo for a week..Not the cleanest hotel!! Our room looked like it had not been vacuumed ..the pool was cloudy and dirty, the pool area was covered in cigarette butts & empty cups. The ice machine in our building was not working and we had to cross the street to their other building to get ice. .We used to stay here when my kids were young back in the 90's..it has changed alot. Not sure I would recommend it ..There are alot of other nicer options. The Sahara cafe..privately owned, was great!

Iconic hotel - great stay

We love staying at the Sahara if we can when we visit Ocean City. Yes, it is an older hotel. Our room included a microwave and refrigerator. There was a hair dryer as well. The air conditioning worked great. We had a side balcony which still offered a nice view of the ocean. The room was quiet- no noise from neighbors or the street. It's location on the boardwalk, but at the "quiet" end, is super convenient. The beach in front of the hotel is large and there is a chair/umbrella rental stand right there (not owned or run by the hotel though). The young man running the stand was very nice. If you're looking for a fancy pants hotel or condo with all the bells and whistles, this isn't it. But I still give ut 5 stars for what it is. Also, breakfast at the Sahara Cafe is a must.

⭐️ 1/5 — Very Disappointing Stay We stayed here for a family vacation, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Our room had ants and flies everywhere — it was honestly gross. I had to place a Walmart delivery order just to get fly ribbons and ant traps to make the room somewhat livable. To make matters worse, I couldn’t communicate with any of the housekeeping staff due to a complete language barrier. No one understood me, which made it impossible to ask for basic things or get help with the situation. For the price we paid, this stay was not worth it at all. I expected way better. I definitely won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend this motel to anyone.

Prob wouldn’t stay here again

You can’t check in until 4 and we had just drove over 6 hours to get there. We tried contacting and calling the motel multiple times to see about checking in earlier. No one answered or ever got back to us. Obviously we were exhausted. We just traveled with a toddler. Never-mind that I was just excited to finally be at the beach for the first time ever. Fast forward we get to our room and they book us on the 3rd floor. No elevator. It was a little annoying climbing up and down and bringing things in and out of our rooms. We get inside and the mustiest smell just smacks you right in the face. Takes your breath away. We checked for bedbugs and thank god we didn’t see any. We stayed 3 nights and paid over $500. A little pricey for the conditions and the outdated room. The tv had discoloration. Also, you have to pay for the breakfast. I’ve never had to pay for any breakfast at any place I’ve stayed. I thought that it was absurd. Overall it was an okay stay. I probably would not stay again. But if you’re going to spend the money I would go elsewhere. It’s just as pricey. The best thing about staying here was the short walk to the beach!
