Beautiful Anniversary Trip

Very nice hotel. Wonderful trails and views. Chairs everywhere. It was great. Room probably should be retro fitted with a fan.

Staff were lovely. Would love to return for a longer stay. Personally I think the extra fee is a bit much- most of the things provided are usually included anyway at a decent hotel.

Located within the State park with excellent views of water and mountains and trails just outside your door. The staff was freindly and very helpful in guiding. The restaurant on site is open for dinner and offered a good variety of food options

Very beautiful property and rooms. Some slightly odd experiences at the restaurant and the rooms can be a bit noisy as others have mentioned but overall I will definitely come back when I'm in the area!

Tucked away in a remote area with beautiful views of Tomales bay. The restaurant is closed Sunday and mondays , wish I had known that since area is remote and no closeby food options . Other than that it was lovely.

It was nice and quiet.I wish the restaurant was open during our stay -Sun/Mon. It was like camping in the woods, in luxury with real bed and shower. Enjoyed the firepit and the unlimited complimentary s'mores. Enjoyed a little hike at the property grounds. Wish there was at least complimentary continental breakfast. There was free coffee and tea available.

Very big nice rooms in a beautiful location. Gas fired pit with s’mores on offer was a nice touch. Sound infiltration from outside and other rooms was an issue and the first room offered had widows with old film that blocked views of the bay, so we moved. We stayed on a Sunday thru Tuesday and not a lot of restaurants were open on these weekdays. Overall good value tho.

A unique stay with lots of fun touches. Be aware that there was a facilities fee when we checked in that we were unaware of. It was a great stay.

Quiet retreat in the woods

The Lodge sits on beautiful property with several walking trails. All the front desk staff were solidly indifferent during all our interactions (housekeeping were very friendly). The beds are incredibly comfortable and the area is very quiet. The rooms are a bit over-engineered. Everything (coffee pot, tea kettle, etc) are just a bit more challenging to use than they need to be, hence the binder of instructions. And despite all the thought that went into the rooms, the toilet paper roll hangs over the toilet, making it difficult to use both (HA!).

This place is beautiful! From the grounds to the rooms to the Lobby. The employees are so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend you book a stay at this place.

I arrived late and had to leave in the morning for a business trip. The front desk staff were friendly and super helpful. My room was very clean and had all that I needed along with a beautiful partial ocean view. My stay was perfect. Thank you!

We arrived after 10 pm at the lodge. The fire pit was so inviting and added to the peacefulness of the grounds. The next morning, we hiked around the beautiful trails and took many pictures of Lake Tomales. Very friendly staff who suggested other points of interests before we headed to San Francisco. A writer’s haven! The rooms were decorated so nicely and everything was clean. Wound go back and highly recommend

Beautiful but a little noisy

This is a beautiful part of Marin. Breathtaking views, somewhat remote. If you want maximum privacy and most of all a quiet night's sleep, ask for a room that doesn't have a window facing the fire pit!! Otherwise you are at the mercy of the revelers that gather outside your window and/or wake up early and have conversations in the courtyard. Sometimes the doors stick and you can hear them slamming in the rooms adjacent to yours. This and the noisy fire pit/courtyard was the only down-side to this place! The staff are incredibly friendly, and it has a very welcoming, cozy and positive vibe.
