Beautifully designed hotel and rooms

Wonderful stay in a beautifully designed hotel and room. Perfectly located to walk around the neighbourhood and beyond. Great restaurants and parks all at walking distance. A little noisy at night but I was not bothered by it. The hotel room had everything we needed and more for a 3 day stay. Absolutely loved it!

The facilities were very nice and clean and the staff was very kind, helpful and communicative. The only complaint was the noise. The street noise came up through the windows and it was hard to get a good night sleep - passing traffic, people talking, and nearby dance clubs could be heard all night. There was no AC either so we had to have the windows open to keep some airflow happening.

Good looking property, terrible infrastructure.

This building is new and great looking but the infrastructure is terrible. Water heater only works for 5 minutes. There is not air conditioning. No heating no cooling, which makes your sleep miserable. There are very loud clubs around the property. Electrical power blows up if you use the power outlet when the water heater is working, which then the handyman has to change the wires and fuses.(see my picture after we used the blowdryer)

Great base to explore and very friendly staff

I’m a first time visitor to Mexico and this was my first stop, for five nights before heading off the beach. This is an apartment block with concierge services, not a hotel, but the staff do a lot to help you. For me this started back in the UK where I was able to text them to arrange an airport pick up (this was much appreciated as I was arriving after a 12-hr flight, in the evening); and even included them going out to BUY an iron for me to use as they didn’t have one but I needed it. The hotel is in a safe location within a short walk to a bunch of restaurants and coffee shops. It’s a little noisy as it’s in a busy area (I arrived on a Saturday night and I could hear music from a local club til about 3am) - though this didn’t bother me but if you are a very light sleeper then you may want to consider that (it’s more a point about the neighbourhood than the building - I imagine anywhere around this place will the same). There is no heating or air con though this didn’t bother me as lots of windows - though means a bit more noise. SUPER comfortable bed and I slept really well.

The first review I've ever written but our stay was so awful I have no choice. My husband & I are incredibly well-traveled and have stayed in hotels all over the world. ONTO is absolutely not a 5-star hotel, not even close. A 2 at best and that's a stretch. The point of a hotel is to SLEEP, and it's absolutely impossible to sleep here. The booming nightclub next door had our windows shaking and room vibrating until ~3 am. Sure, the hotel provides cheap earplugs but they didn't help at all. Perhaps the most frustrating though were the dozens of mosquitos in our room. Once we turned the lights off and *attempted* to sleep, we just heard buzzing in our ears and were constantly turning the lights back on to kill them. We weren't able to sleep at all, and found ourselves with countless bites in the morning. Upon speaking to the front desk, they told us they'd swap our room after the first miserable night (though we paid for the most expensive room category, we were more than willing to downgrade if it meant actually getting some rest). The next morning, Mario scoffed at us saying there were no other rooms available. 3 times we asked over the course of 36 hours with zero solution. The second night was no better. Loud noises and endless mosquitos in our room. Finally, my husband & I booked another hotel and cut our losses for the rest of our stay. As we checked out prematurely, Mario once again could not have cared less. I'll be taking this up with my CC company. Worst hotel ever!!

Awesome design and location, walkable to everything . I had a room on the higher floor and it had fantastic views. The room was well appointed, had great toiletries, little knickknacks that made it feel like home. The inside/outside design of the staircase is beautiful and showcased the thoughtful design. Highly recommend and would gladly stay again.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Roma Norte

Beautifully designed hotel, perfectly situated with walkable distance to many attractions in Roma and Condesa. Wonderful choice of cafés and restaurants nearby. Lovely rooftop with great views of the city.

This hotel is very conveniently located. The front desk staff is friendly. The apartment is spacious and clean. The kitchen comes with dishes, skillets and silverware. There's a small container of cooking oil but nothing else so bring salt and pepper and whatever else you may need. The stove was impossible to operate because there were no instructions and the fan above didn't work. Maintenance came right away and they replaced the motor of the fan the next day. The stove randomly shut off every couple of minutes. There's also a microwave. Although there are windows, which I opened for a few minutes, there are mosquitoes and they came right in, I wasn't able to find them but they came out to bite me at night so had to sleep with the covers over my head. The mattress was really hard and uncomfortable although I know that's a matter of personal preference.

The building and room were beautiful and this would have been one of our best hotel stays ever! But the bed was so hard and uncomfortable to the point we couldn't sleep and woke up with back issues (we're young adults, fit). We requested to change rooms the first morning but there wasn't any availability so we had to stay. Given the high price tag we paid for this stay we requested the hotel waive the mini bar purchases (5 items at $50) as a sign of understanding. Unfortunately, the staff didn't show any genuine interest about our concern, no follow ups or check-ins or even small signs of understanding, the fact we didn't sleep properly on our vacation in the city all 4 nights meant nothing to them. At check-out the receptionist even told us others have complained about the beds which we didn't see in any of the reviews (and why I'm sharing this here). Despite the receptionist saying they will waive the mini bar charges, they did not and upon returning home the hotel manager is gaslighting us by saying we didn't speak up and there is no record of our complaint - blatant lie. To summarize: beautiful property, just like the pictures, modern, clean, horrible beds and staff that couldn't care less.

Great and safe location

My stay here was wonderful. I highly recommend Onto if you are traveling to Mexico City because it’s near everything. All you have to do is walk out your door and you’re welcomed by a nice neighborhood, walking distance to restaurants and shopping. I also felt super safe here and there is security 24/7. Diego and Chris at the front desk are wonderful and very helpful. I would definitely go back and stay at this location. The only downfall is that they don’t offer double bed options.

The best choice in Mexico City

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The service was truly exceptional, with a 24-hour concierge available through WhatsApp who helped us with all our requests, including booking restaurants and activities, which made our trip so much easier and enjoyable. The property is new, spotless, and beautifully maintained. We stayed in the panoramic suite, which was absolutely stunning—it had breathtaking views and a modern, luxurious design. Highly recommend booking this suite for an unforgettable experience! The breakfast is minimal but still a thoughtful and pleasant touch to start the day. Overall, an outstanding experience, and we can’t wait to come back!
