Great location, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The onsite amenities in the shared kitchen were very nice. The rooms were a bit noisy but got quiet after 9 pm and the sinks are super tiny, otherwise it was a great choice for our two nights in the area.

The stand-out place we stayed on our travels - brilliant staff, lovely room, great facilities, beautifully decorated... but it was the little things like fresh muffins and water bottles when we arrived and help getting our luggage up to the top floor that really made the difference. The lodge was beautiful and had a great view! We walked into town to grab breakfast and dinner. I didnt realize the room I picked had shared bathrooms but it worked out for the night we stayed. Highly recommend staying

This was a run down cottage that was difficult to get in and out of reception. Our unit had full cooking facilities but dishes were dirty. We didn’t cook and washed cups before having morning coffee. The privacy and ocean view was nice.

Mixing with other people in communal areas, free coffee machine, Brollies available for wet weather. Discount at partner restaurants was appreciated. Fans provided to help with the heat. However as our room was above the communal bathroom we were disturbed as people forgot to switch off the light/extractor fan when they left which caused noise and vibration of the fan in our room.

Extremely small and quite noisy. The community kitchen however was fantastic. I’m getting bit long in the tooth so maybe that why i limit my star rating. There is actually nothing wrong with this property for those who are flexible and want to economize.

We weren't expecting much from this lodge given the low price. But it hugely exceeded our expectations. On arrival at 7pm after a long drive, it was easy to find and park. The receptionist gave us a welcome that was so friendly and enthusiastic, it put most other hotels to shame. While the room was quite small and the bathroom shared (as we'd expected), it was nice and warm, giving us an instant boost on a cold night, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location couldn't have been better, with a range of decent restaurants within a short walking distance. There was a large kitchen and common room area with free tea, coffee and popcorn, outside there was a hot tub you could use up till 10pm, and the atmosphere overall felt more like we were staying a high-end hotel than somewhere cheap, even though we'd paid just £28 for two people. I would heartily recommend this lodge.

Wow, eine sehr tolle Unterkunft!

Herzlicher und persönlicher Check In. Man bekommt einen kostenlosen Muffin in kalt, oder warm. Kurzer, aber persönlicher Rundgang. Die Unterkunft bietet eine ganztägige kostenlose Kaffeemaschine, Teestation & Popcorn. Die Gemeinschaftküche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und hat ein gemütliches Ambiente. Generell ist alles sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Wir haben ein Zimmerupgrade bekommen. Viel Ablage, eine Heizung, Kaffee/ Teestation und ein Kühlschrank sind vorhanden. Die Gemeinschaftbäder sind unterteilt, sauber und gut ausgestattet. BBQ Ecke, Gym, Spa und Fahrradverleih wird ebenfalls geboten.

Chill, relax and munch

This should be the best accommodation i stayed in NZ over the past 3 weeks. Decors are great, they provide muffin, veg soup, coffee bean machines and even popcorn. Netflix on tv to keep me entertained while having my meal and a hot tub to relax after many days of continuous walks and hiking.
