At check-in I requested housekeeping. That's part of the fun of a trip - your bed is made, supplies replenished, etc. I had a tip laid out for them, but they didn't come. Front desk apologized profusely and promised they would be there the next day for sure. No show. Their communication among staff seems to be lacking. Disappointing. Also, furniture is so uncomfortable, we could not sit on it. I paid extra for a suite with the "living room furniture," because my husband is awake often during the night and appreciates a comfortable chair. Neither of us could sit for longer than 15 minutes in the armchair or the couch. We tried adding pillows and rolled up towels, but the furniture is downright painful. The beds are so high, it was truly difficult for us older folks to get into them. I'm sure it would have been humorous watching us struggle, but it wasn't humorous to us. A stepstool would have actually been a good idea. Bathtub very slippery. Elevators were downright scary - screeching and banging. The personnel at the front desk were very friendly and respectful. The breakfast was very nice. Typical free hotel breakfast, but the hot food was tasty, and everything was well-maintained. Pool was totally typical - fine, but nothing special. We did not cook an actual meal, but used the "kitchen" for snacks and warming leftovers. It seemed to be supplied with everything a small, temporary kitchen would need.
