It's like a dude ranch / resort. Our room was small. The bed was uncomfortable and noisy. Squeaked every time we moved. For a resort there really wasn't much to do and the restaurant was closed. Pool was decent. I had hoped for more activities. I asked about upgrading upon arrival and was told they really couldn't because I booked through Expedia.

I gave four stars because the amenities are good, biking, tennis, basketball, horse riding and walking trails. I booked the historic suite. The layout was bad! The front door opens to the primary bedroom. Lots of bugs were waiting to get in at night. The furnitures, bedding and towels are uniformly brown, making it hard to tell how clean or unclean they are, but the floor is definitely dusty because my socks turned black quickly. The Grill on-site has limited staff. We were sent to town for dinner at 8pm even though the grill was supposed to close at 10pm. Fortunately the town is 7 minutes away and a few restaurants open late. The ground of the resort is pleasant and quiet.
