I stay in many motels around Australia due to work and personal travel. This is probably the biggest rip off of a motel that I have stayed in for as long as I can remember. We paid $130 for one night that was supposed to include a continental breakfast. Upon arrival, when I asked about the breakfast, I was told... oh we don't do that at the moment. Well it should be advertised on Wotif as though you do. Admittedly, when I said how disappointing that was as that is what I had paid for, the person gave us 4 slices of bread and some condiments.
That wasn't a great start, but the condition of the room was old and unclean. I took numerous photos of the dirt on the floor and the frayed old towels (good for the environment though I suppose) as well as hairs in the bed and scrappy no smoking stickers on the walls and I didn't want to chance the shower. Yes this is all developed world problems and I wouldn't normally complain, but at $130 per night and less effort to clean I reckon it is justified. To top it off, all night long there was an awful sound coming from the bar fridge freezer. The good parts was that there was Netflix as promised and somewhere to park a trailer.
