Horrific - will never stay again

The first room, #226, had an air conditioner that had been vandalized and didn't work. The second room, #232, had a TV that didn't work, roaches, and we couldn't leave the room because they couldn't get a key to open the door. Only the management all-access key would open the door. So once we were let in, we were stuck for the night. Our only other option was a room on the 4th floor, but with no working elevator, that was too much for us to deal with when we were exhausted from a long day of travel. Thank you, Paula Laridon

Don’t stay here

The front desk smelled like pot. The elevator was broken, and there was a sign on it that said “elevator do not work”. That was the first red flag. The stairwell smelled like dogshit. When we got to the 3rd floor where our room was, many of the rooms had trash bags in front of the doors. When we got to our room there was a trash bag in front of it and inside were bunch of bug traps with dead bugs in them. Our room was apparently been used as storage for cleaning equipment and supplies, and that was the last straw. We turned around and left.

Noticed that the sink was leaking ,toilet also. Shower rod was broken and fell down several times. You could tell the room wasn't properly cleaned. Roach infested, dirty floors. Went to the front desk, told the manager. I left for the day ,came back thinking the room would be cleaned, no!!! They only clean the rooms after you've stayed there for two weeks. Just very nasty, poor customer service. Ill never stay at another Extended Stay again.

Will never stay here again

First, let me say the staff i interacted with was courteous and accomodating. When we arrived at 930pm there was no one at the front desk. Sign said dial "0" for late check-in. After 15 mins repeat dialing with no answer, finally the national hotline picked up and called the person directly. He was nice and stated that "she" was supposed to be at the desk until 10pm. We got to our room and there was an extremely loud high pitched noise coming from the fan in the bathroom, like an alarm sound. Moved to another room. The smell of weed was so strong in the entire hotel that we slept with the window open even though it was freezing rain outside. We went to Walmart and bought cleaning supplies due to the filth on the walls, floors, and bath (including what looked like a blood stain on the bedroom wall. Then there was the bugs...cockroaches, termites, ants and unidentifiable. I do not expect luxury accommodations at this price, but this was beyond bad.

Do not use this company.

I reserved a room weeks in advance and called the day of to confirm i was checking in late. I was told that it was fine and that i would need to call a number to wake up the night attendant. When i did so i could hear the lobby phones ringing but no one got it. I called four times. Finally called corporate to see if they can let me in the building and after a 15 minute wait i was told that they gave my resevation away. They claimed they tried to call me three times but i had no missed calls and had fine service the entire trip. I drove seven hours to find an empty lobby, my reservation had been given away on false pretenses, and i had to put $300 to stay at another hotel i found after DRIVING AROUND FOR ANOTHER HOUR. What is the point of making a reservation AND confirming a late check in if you are going to give it away and go back on your end of the deal anyway. This is a horribly run company. I will not book with them again and i will make sure as many people as possible abandon this company for actual quality, trustworthiness, and professionalism. Absolutely pathetic experience.

The original room they gave me was completely dirty. The toilet bowl was disgusting, the bed had hair and other debris on it. They put me in a 2nd room, which the manager walked in to review. It was much cleaner but had a lot of damage, a bug trap, and still dirty. I said it was better. After she left, I had to kill 2 cockroaches. The fire alarm went off too. I was concerned about it being a real emergency bc of the sketchy people in and around the building so I called the front desk to ask if it was a real emergency. He stated I don't know and hung up on me. The alarm went off, so I tried to call the front desk again to ask about it-no answer. I packed up my belongings to leave, I went to the front desk and nobody was there. I tried calling, still no answer. Finally a customer came in, I went back to my room to try calling front desk from that phone. No answer. When I went back to the front desk, the worker was helping the customer. I stated I felt unsafe and killed cockroaches in my room so I'm leaving. He apologized, didn't offer a refund- I didn't want to wait to discuss a refund bc I was so shaken up.

Never got to check in, they had over booked . Then i had to set on the phone for 2 hours while they tryed to fine me a room . Which i wasnt able to get til the next day! Was a terrible experience! I was also told they would refund me $50 for the inconvenience and extremely long wait on the telephone. Still have not received the refund.

Not a good experience

The room was not clean and the walls and nightstand drawer were downright filthy. There were bugs, dead and alive, and the bathroom door didn't have a handle, just a hole where one should be. We were supposed to stay for 5 nights. We ended up staying about 10 minutes before deciding the state of the room was too bad. It's been almost a month and they have not given us a refund. Hotels.com told me they pursued one on our behalf multiple times, but that Extended Stay appeared to be unwilling. We are not talking a refund of just 1 night, but of 5 nights, so it is a significant chunk of money. It's very unfair that they're holding onto it when we didnt even stay due to unsatisfactory conditions. I waited this long to write a review because I had no desire to hurt their business if they made things right and I wanted to give them a chance to do so. But they have not.

This place is disgusting. Roaches crawling all over the room. Giant plastic bags on the mattress but only a thin fitted sheet on it. No amenities. The tub may have been clean but was so old I thought it may be rotted. I slept with the lights on. In my mom’s room the fridge door didn’t close and roaches were just crawling all over it. The front desk person was nice but closed up after we left. I regret not reading the reviews but there is an Extended Stay in my mom’s town and it is super nice so I thought this would be the same. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The elevator was broken, cockroaches all over the room took video of this room. It would not pass any kind of city inspection. I called orbits they literally kept me on the phone for an hour and a half trying to cancel then find me another room. Every time the orbits guy said he was looking he would put me on hold for 20 minutes. The second time he did he picked up I asked him not to leave me on hold that long. It was now 12:30am and he put me on hold again to find a room 25 minutes went by. Then he picked up. I could hear him then he hung up. We ended up sleeping in our car in the parking lot. The guy from orbits said he was going to give me a 125 credit. But that did not happen either. I sent in pictures and video of this room and you guys called and verified their elevator was broken and the room they gave us was on the fourth floor. I underwent heart surgery so walking up 4 flights of stairs was hard when I saw the room I came down to complain they didn’t care. And apparently neither did your Orbitz folks.

Terrible experience from the start. Rude front desk woman that didn’t want to be there. Elevator was not working, no electricity in room, obviously no TV, no bath towels but lots of roaches in bathroom! Don’t ask or complain attitude from front desk clerk. Gave me super old worn out towels and would offer another room or be apologetic. Will not be going there ever and do not recommend at all. Actually will be calling corporate office for formal complaint.
