One of the best places i have ever stayed!!! Staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and treated us like family. Breakfast gave us many selections and was very good. Had a good selection for dinner and the food was very good. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing in every way!

The Highland Lodge was gorgeous! The room was very clean and had everything we could ask for. Breakfast was freshly prepared, had several great options, and was so, so yummy! The view from the room was also beautiful, as was the entire property. I could not recommend this place more.

Fantastic service, delightful community feel

The owner is fantastic and the service is great! A wonderful community feel. Great destination for a family vacation or just a quiet get-a-way. There were also fun things going on in their bar, but we didn't participate because we were traveling with a toddler. It's an old farmhouse with a lot of character, and the rooms are very clean. Owner cooks a great breakfast!

The property itself is nice and pretty, setting by a lake. However, they changed our room type from two beds to one bed. When we checked in, there are no bath amenities, and bathroom trash was not cleaned. The cold water faucet also didn’t work. Room key was not given to us either, so when we left the room we were not able to come back.

Elsa and Chad are the best! :) They are the new managers of Highland Lodge, and they could not be more delightful! Caspian Lake is terrific (mere steps away), and the lodge provides all manner of kayaks, canoes, paddleboards and more. There is tennis and walking trails and every activity you and your family could want! In the evenings, enjoy a specialty cocktail on the porch that overlooks the lake and watch the sunset. Or enjoy one of the nightly food truck options (Sunday - Tuesday) or a delicious dinner on the lawn or wander to one of the nearby "food mecca options" including the famous Cabot Creamery, microbrewery, gastropubs and more! We can't wait to return!
