We had a large room for 3 pax. There were 2 twin beds and a futon for our party. The room is large with a living room, balcony, kitchenette and a washing machine only. A drying rack is provided if you do laundry. The room feels a little dated but is comfortable. We liked that this hotel is jsut a few minutes walk from Omori beach. Calling for a taxi to get to places eg Mt Hakodate Ropeway and the morning market is very easy.

We booked two juniorJapanese Western suites for a family of 6. The suites were spacious, with a western bedroom with 2 beds and a Japanese room with futons. Each suite came with a spacious terrace. The bathrooms had nice big tubs plus shower. The kitchen was fully equipped. The washing machine was a big convenience. We would not hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Hakodate.

Great room deal

I stayed 3 nights at massive room that includes kitchenette and spacious bath tub with washing machine that helped cleaning my clothes (you can buy individual pack soap and use dryers at first floor coin laundry). With exchange rate of 155 yen, the entire expenditures cost under $300! Hakodate is underrated tourist destination spots that I really love this region where you are supposed to enjoy trademark seafood and meals. Overall, no complaint. I will come back to this hotel because facility includes restaurants, little convenient store, and beyond basic needs.

Rooms in need of a renovation, peeling on bathroom cabinets, grime around shower. Shower spray broken and sprayed everywhere, so we used the overhead shower only. Service very sub standard! Our Japanese guide even mentioned how unfriendly the front desk were. We requested an iron, and got told to collect ourselves from reception. On the occasion I called the front desk to advise we had problems with the airconditioning- to be hung up on 3 times in a row- maybe because I didn’t speak japanese. For the price, I’m sure there are much better hotels elsewhere that don’t have an English language barrier.
