This was the best hotel we stayed at in Japan. Check in and check out was quick, the hotel let us store our bags for the afternoon after checkout. The complimentary ramen and ice cream was a lovely surprise and much needed after a long flight. The onsen on the top floor was a relaxing experience. We would definitely stay here again.

This place had a bit of an unusual way of operating where room cleaning is optional and fresh towels are left in a paper bag at the door every day. And that uncanny recurrent song in all common areas was a bit strange. But it was overall good with great sento (Japanese public bath) in the premises and located within a relatively short walk to a subway station.

Room is spacious with small bathroom, shower only no bathtub. Pillow is not comfortable and air-cond makes weird knocking noise in the middle of the night. Hotel is at a OK location that you need to catch few metro stops to change to the main line to get to Osaka/Shin-Osaka. This would add an extra 45 mins (return) to your daily travel plan. Hotel offers onsen however it is always crowded between 9pm to 11:30pm.

Very Nice, manager could be more considerate

Dormy inn was very nice the onsen was great the yogurts and snacks were delicious. The staff was very polite but I had 1 or 2 times when I felt the could’ve been more understanding. The phones in the room do not dial outside the hotel so I had to go to the lobby to use the front desks phone to call an airline to add a checked bag, yes calling was the only way I could. The gentleman helping me was trying his best but there were some issues so I asked to speak on the phone. Who using the phone I kept getting placed on hold but I was slowly making progress. After about 30 minutes I was almost done when the manager came over to me and told me I needed to get off the phone. She allowed me a few more minutes to finish but I found the interaction very surprising and inconsiderate. It was obvious I was going through a stressful call and I am a guest at your hotel. Also I should mention that I purposely stood at the far end of the desk out of the way to not disturb other guests needing to use the front desk. This situation and one other gave me the feeling that yes the staff was polite but really didn’t care if you were going through some travel struggles. Overall great hotel and I would stay again.
