Not my idea of luxury
Firstly, I had booked a lodge stay through Expedia and a company called Unlimited Luxury.
The words “unlimited and luxury” had no bearing on what was to be offered and in my mind constitutes a breach of the trade descriptions acts. I made a number of attempts to contact this company for information prior to leaving the UK with no joy.
On arriving in Kasane I asked at the airport for a taxi to Unlimited Luxury Lodges and nobody had a clue including the taxi man. When looking on Google I had noticed a pin dropped near Kwalape Lodge so suggested it may be close to there. When we got close to Kwalape there was no other lodge so we checked at their reception and was informed I was booked on their system. Why was it not advertised as Kwalape in the first instance? Perhaps in case you read the reviews?
We were walked to our lodge an entered a very dark space with dark green paper above bamboo slatted lower section. The “furniture” consisted of items made from slatted dark wood and totally inadequate for packing away anything. The walls had no decoration, just one mirror and a tv that was askew on the wall with trailing leads. The space was of a good size but only had a 4”6’ bed and the mosquito net was torn and dirty. There was ample space for a small sofa or two soft chairs. The only chair available was the sort used a a table.
