Little hard to find somewhere nice to eat for dinner for a sit down meal, but as takeaways go the Sun Noodle place was pretty good. Would recommend Left Bank. "

"Nice quiet area, we had a little mishap with our car (the window got smashed) and the owners of the hotel were super helpful in temporarily fixing this, the hotel staff looked after us very well whilst we had to make various phone calls. I DO NOT want to deter people from booking this hotel due to the mishap, it happens and the hotel was very friendly to us."

"This motel is very nice, comfortable, has everything you need. Even a continental breakfast for $19.00 NZ dollars choices of cereal, toast, spreads, fresh and tinned fruit, fresh crossants,tea,coffee . Amazing owners and staff, i had a studio unit and it was roomy comfortable, clean,tidy, tv. Close to shops, eateries and tours all in a 15 minute walk. I will go back.."

"Room was lovely and clean and I had a good room away from the road so nice and quiet."

"Lovely place which overlooks Russell, but is only a short walk from town. Beautiful private deck which fully opens to the room allows for a.m./p.m. views and air. Baths appear to have been recently renovated. Room is spacious and welcoming. Friendly, attentive owners. I guess you could complain about the steepness of the short entry drive or the fact that you might overhear your neighbors on the next deck … but no, don’t. HIGHLY recommend. "

"Room (junior suite 402) was large with a good balcony (although no sun on it in the afternoon) but was a little tired - could do with a few more pictures on the walls and some updated furniture. Good kitchen equipment and good size shower. Door to toilet needs adjusting as the bottom scrapes the floor when opened. Restaurant evening menu was very disappointing so we didn't eat there. "
